The Salt room is an imitation of a natural salt cave (salt mine) with its medicinal micro climate. The walls, floor and ceiling are lined with salt, and the air is saturated with dry, scattered, finest stone salt particles. The stay in such an atmosphere and the inhalation of such air, known throughout history by its medicinal properties, is called salt therapy or halotherapy.
The main medicinal factor of the salty rooms is the micro-salt aerosol particles that carry kinetic energy obtained after crushing in the Halogenerator, the salt generator. The halogenerator is pumping out microparticles of dry aerosol that negatively ionizes the air and saturates it with elements that are precious to life. The concentration of micro particles of salt is much larger than in salty caves, and in the salt room there is a microclimate of the salt mine, constant temperature, humidity and ionizing of air.
Stone salt crystals as natural ionizers improve air quality because they produce negative ions that are found only in stormy seas, in waterfalls, and after the storm. Ionised Air has a positive effect on the human organism, it leads to psychophysical equilibrium, and helps with concentration and working ability.
Negative Ions in Salt room
Lack of negative ions leads to various disorders:
- Exhaustion (physical and mental)
- Loss of concentration
- Depression and pessimism
- Neurosis and increased sensitivity
- Migraines and headaches
- Insomnia
- Respiratory difficulties
- A feeling of suffocation-like there’s not enough oxygen in the air
- Hypertonia and other heart problems

Various measurements show similar results in different industrial areas. One such measurement shows the amount of negative ions per centimetre of cubic air:
- In the country: 800-1800
- Greater city street: 200-450
- Enclosed space of larger residential or office buildings: 30-50
The air in the salt room is extremely negatively ionised!

Research shows that one negative ion with its charge enables effective binding of 10 to even 80 molecules of oxygen ions, so negative ions balance all significant biological processes of the human organism, enhancing the physical efficacy of muscles and hormonal and intellectual activity. They are constantly created in nature, but they are rapidly disappearing, and the number varies according to meteorological and cosmic conditions, and about moisture and air pollution. Negative ions create cosmic and solar radiation, radioactivity of the Earth, then rain and splash of water and fire, and arise in places that include mountains, places where lightning strikes, fields far from cities.
In the salt room the halogenerator is reloading micro-particles of dry aerosols that negatively ionizes the air and saturation it with elements that are precious to life. Rock salt crystals as natural ionizers improve air quality as they produce negative ions.
